Ceramic Technician

POSITION: Full time / 30- 35 hours weekly
RATE OF PAY: $23/ hr

SUMMARY

We are seeking a full-time Ceramic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience working with clay and be comfortable throwing on the pottery wheel. Previous experience as a ceramic technician is not required. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a creative studio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

  • Assist with general studio tasks as required

  • Unloading and loading kilns 

  • Making the studios in house glazes

  • Prepare and wedge clay as needed

  • Trim, finish, and inspect pieces for quality

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with clay

  • Strong wheel-throwing skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

  • Strong time management, multi-tasking and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including regular lifting of 44-50 lbs.
